The word ‘pure’ in this Beatitude could have been used of clothing that had been soiled but is now clean, corn that had been sifted so the chaff has been removed, an army that had been purged of all malcontents, or metal that had not been weakened by being mixed with some sort of alloy. So, the basic meaning of the word is ‘unmixed,’ ‘unadulterated,’ ‘unalloyed.’
A fun combination of music, Bible story time, and mission emphases. The spring session focus is in preparation of Easter music to be presented on Palm Sunday morning. Coordinators are our Worship Pastor, Kris Grimes, Worship Assistant, Angie Woods and Children’s Minister, Stacey Leitch.
