“Examine yourselves, to see whether you are holding to your faith. Test yourselves. Do you not realize that Jesus Christ is in you? – unless indeed you fail to meet the test!” (I Corinthians 13:5)

We often use that assertion to explain or justify attitudes that are unhelpful to ourselves and others. If we are stubborn or distrustful, cynical or argumentative, suspicious or abrupt, harsh or vindictive… we think we can excuse it all with a sweep of the hand and an all-encompassing assertion. “That’s the way I am,” we say, as though such declaration clears the way for us to be even more that way without consequence. Is that the way you are? If so, why do you choose to keep on being that way?
The Bible provides directions for an attitude adjustment. Find your individual prescription through the Pastor’s Sermons in January, February, and March.
