Golden Disciples
We certainly had a great time with Bro. Mickey at our August luncheon. Our people who were able to attend (26) were so gracious in bringing extra so we could feed Jerry Sutherland & his construction crew who are working on our remodeling project. We had 33 in total attendance. Thank you SO much and the men really appreciated such a great meal! What a unique ministry opportunity! Continue to bless them with your prayers!
September is shaping up to be an exciting month as well. I hope everyone will be able to join the entire congregation for the Labor Day Weekend Sunday, September 5th. Breakfast will be served (not pot luck) & a concert by “Narrow Road” a bluegrass gospel group will be after breakfast. The Hilltop Trio has been with them several times & they are a very special group that I know you will enjoy! Watch your bulletin closely for times.
Our September 21st Luncheon could prove to be just as exciting! Many of you will remember Bill Black & his Famous Coney Sauce! Our own Sandy Gregory will be duplicating that for us & Larry will add his personal touches of grilled hot dogs & brats. Other pot luck dishes of chips & dip, potato salad, coleslaw, baked beans & other salads & desserts sounds wonderful! AND our guest speaker will be Todd Lester & I believe he has a few others that are coming with him & some special things planned for us! AND it could be that “THE GATHERING PLACE” will be completed & we could POSSIBLY have our September 21st Luncheon there!!! We’ll see what God has in mind. Isn’t it wonderful how He is blessing us!!!
